In fact, with Dr. Rabwin’s mentorship, our new graduate associate surpassed our expectations for production within the first year.
Dr. Rabwin’s mentorship of our new grad associate has been invaluable for our practice. From an administrative perspective, having Dr. Rabwin mentor our new grad allowed our new employee to be mentored, have her questions answered, and get up to speed quickly. In fact, with Dr. Rabwin’s mentorship, our new graduate associate surpassed our expectations for production within the first year. Dr. Rabwin is a wonderful communicator and veterinarian. She brings positive energy to the practice and this helps not only our new graduate associates, as they face the day-to-day learning curve of private practice, but it flows through the entire staff. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Rabwin and Ready, Vet, Go.

I feel so lucky to have Dr. Rabwin as a friend and mentor. The confidence she gave me was invaluable.
Dr. Rabwin is an amazing support. She is encouraging, easy to talk to, and offers practical guidance from her years of general practice experience.
After being an equine practitioner for 11 years, I transitioned into small animal practice. I felt overwhelmed and scared at all the things I didn’t know. Dr. Rabwin was always there for me […] My learning and confidence grew exponentially after starting our rounds group, which was lead and orchestrated by Dr. Rabwin […]

Dr. Rabwin has worked for me for over 8 years. She has been in charge of helping to train all new veterinary hires. She has a very cheerful attitude and has helped me with the transition from new grad to competent associates. Dani not only helps with the medical aspects of the cases but perhaps, more importantly, the communication with the client and the staff. She diligently goes over the estimates to be sure charges are not missed and I have watched the average client charge go up the more she works with the associate. She has endless patience and is always “the go-to vet” when new hires have any questions. Because the other associates often find a new grad’s needs are time-consuming, having a “point mentor” keeps everyone happy and brings the new associate up to speed quickly.

I definitely think this is a benefit to new grads.
This program helped me fine tune my communication skills and hear other clinicians’ experiences. I really appreciate the space this provided to talk. I definitely think this is a benefit to new grads.

Dani does a fabulous job of breaking down different aspects of veterinary professional challenges to keep them manageable for new grads. She provides practical, straightforward tips to make things like client communication, time management, and staff interactions easier and less intimidating. I think there’s lots of great information in here that any new grad could use.

I wish I had this information and support when I got out of school.
I really enjoyed the past months going through the process of this course.

I went straight from school into a larger small animal practice. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Rabwin as my mentor. Between the caseload, the new time schedule, client questions, and communication, I was overwhelmed. Dr. Rabwin coached me through the process […] Vet school does a great job and getting you to understand the big things, [but] there was still a lot to learn. Dr. Rabwin was that help I needed! […] She helped bolster my confidence. I am a better doctor today because of her.

Dr. Dani is so much fun to work with. She brings thought-provoking questions and practical, real-world experience to our monthly rounds that help break down difficult cases into their basic components. Through our sessions, I have grown so much as a doctor and gained confidence in my ability to work up cases. Her support has really helped me grow as a medical professional.

I really appreciated the email follow-ups as it helped summarize the meetings and what we talked about working on for the following month. I also appreciated that the videos and modules were succinct and not too intense, so they didn’t feel like a big extra load on top of work, etc. Overall, I took a lot away from RVG and appreciate all the time and effort you put into helping especially new grads into assimilating into the vet world.

Lack of robust mentorship opportunities in general practice stifle the potential of recent graduates and associates alike, limiting their ability to serve their patients, clients and communities. Ready, Vet, Go serves as a wonderful accompaniment to in-house clinical advancement programs by providing a structured professional skills development program. Our mentees enjoyed the camaraderie and opportunity to share experiences in a safe space. The client communications skills section was incredibly valuable. Dani leads the program with enthusiasm, passion, positivity, and authenticity. As a practising clinician, Dani’s techniques are relevant and effective. We’re excited to offer this to our graduates as part of their onboarding experience.
